The Blue Room – Kibbutz Ein Gedi
The Blue Room – Kibbutz Ein Gedi
Ruth’s Blue Room
In the heart of Kibbutz Ein Gedi’s Botanical Garden, where the greenery meets the desert, you’ll find The Blue Room — an intimate space for creative workshops, inspiration and reflection.
No experience necessary — simply come, pause for a moment, and let yourself sink into the blue quiet. Each workshop turns creativity into a tool for reflection, play, a little rest, and a fresh perspective on ourselves, all in a warm atmosphere with light refreshments included.
The workshops
Gelli printing and collage
An experiential workshop making acrylic prints on a Gelli plate. Using paints, leaves, stencils, magazines and textures, you’ll create original, surprising prints to take home with you.
Photo journal
Learn to see the world through your smartphone lens in a workshop blending photography and writing, uncovering the beauty hidden in small details. Inspired by the garden’s stunning plant life, this session can also be run at sunrise.
A letter from the future
A session weaving together personal storytelling, guided imagination and intuitive writing. Together we’ll write a letter from the future’s point of view — a simple yet moving way to sharpen our hopes and sense of direction, even through life’s more challenging moments.
About me
I’m Ruth Lavi-Krief, a filmmaker, screenwriter and workshop facilitator. My background in documentary filmmaking, and my love of storytelling, are what brought The Blue Room’s workshops to life.
I believe everyone carries a unique story, and that creativity offers a way to pause, look inward, and discover something new about ourselves. Every session is a chance for me to share creative tools, spark inspiration, and create something personal, enjoyable and meaningful.
