About

AHAVA Visitors’ Center - Kibbutz Mitzpe Shalem and Kibbutz Ein Gedi

For those of you who’ve already heard of Dead Sea Cosmetics, you will probably also be familiar with the international brand-name: AHAVA (in Hebrew: Love).

This brand-name originated in the kibbutzim located in the northern Dead Sea area. It began its course under various names, as far back as the 1970s.

Over the years, the AHAVA brand has become firmly established. This is due to the high standards, alongside the certainty of the use of original raw materials, in the preparation of the various products.

The AHAVA Visitors’ Center introduces you to the fascinating manufacturing process, and allows you to purchase the AHAVA products at attractive prices.

You’ll also find a cafeteria-shop and a host of intriguing exhibits that tell the fascinating story behind the pioneers of the Dead Sea cosmetics industry.

The Visitors’ Center also offers spectacular views dotted with pretty corners, unique and rare vegetation nurtured by ecological pools, and many migratory birds that drop in to rest and drink. This led to UNESCO’s recognition of this spot as a recognized bird-watching site.

It’s worth a visit to gain your own impression 🙂
