Agricultural Tours – Korin's Home

Share place

An agricultural tour for groups and families in the agricultural fields of Kikar Sodom.

The tour is accompanied by stories and explanations of the unique local agriculture. Agriculture that deals with salty soil and water, yet the end product – fruit and veg – is as sweet as nectar, about life alongside the border, and life in the region, in general.

In addition, including the tour, there are stop-offs at points of interest and vantage points with spectacular views, including a glimpse of the border with Jordan, a visit to the “Tamar HaKikar” date plantation – one of the largest date plantations in the country – and, of course, tasting directly from the fields, depending on the crops and the season.

Also recommended, is a visit to the local art galleries – the Metal Artist JOJO, and Esti Barak, an artist who creates from clay and whose works are inspired by agriculture and the local landscape.

The area can be reached by private car, or as an organized group by bus.

The duration of the tour is approximately two hours.

Karma Studio for Macramé

Hi! I’m Irit from Neot HaKikar - the macramé studio is in my backyard.                                           I design and create macramé jewelry with an influence from the desert  environment where I grew up, and inspiration from East Asia, where I’ve  traveled. I create decorative and useful macramé and hold workshops to transfer  my knowledge and love of the art. The workshops are customized and built  according to the group (couple, family, group of 10 participants). No prior  experience is necessary. At the end of the two-hour workshop, you’ll leave with  something you created!  Book in advance.  A little bit about me... I was born in Moshav Neot HaKikar in the south of the  Dead Sea, famous for its beautiful marl rock formations and amazing desert  landscapes. There were always creative materials in my parents’ house. Since I  can remember, I’ve always loved to create things with different materials. I was  mainly attracted to threads and beads, which is how I came to fall in love with  macramé.
