| Hatamar Festival |
|
| Every year, as the holiday of Sukkoth approaches, the Tamar Regional Council hosts the "Hatamar Festival".
The entire festival is held in the desert, overlooking the desert's hypnotizing scenery, changing colors, mountains, valleys and oases. The festival's repertoire combines musical shows by the finest artist with guided tours, moonlight journeys, workshops, public dance events, artists' fairs and more.
Together with the musical events, the festival also offers experience-filled activities -
Mass Moonlight journeys along the channels of the Sodom River and the Pratzim River, followed by an artistic event, as well as unique musical shows held in the magical botanical garden at Kibbutz Ein Gedi.

| Festival of Mountain Bikes Race |
|
| Every November, a two-day celebration of mountain bikes is held at the back and foot of the Sodom Mountain, under the name of the VOLVO Sodom Mountain Race, produced by the Tamar Regional Council, Dead Sea. The celebration includes international races as part of the International Cycling Union (UCI), where the finest local mountain bike cyclists compete against international competitors. Public Races are also held, according to various route categories – challenging routes, amateur routes and routes for women and men.
The race is not international every year, but is always fascinating and extraordinary due to the amazing, challenging routes of the Sodom Mountain.

| The Ein Gedi International Semi-marathon Race – the Race for Peace in the Memory of Giora and Tomer Ron |
|
| The Ein Gedi International Semi-marathon Race, in the name of Giora and Tomer Ron, is held in February every year. The race is held along Highway 90, between the Hamey Ein Gedi junction and the Masada site junction (21 Km in total).
The Israel sea bikes championship for the handicapped is held as part of the race.
